MERRILL, Wis. (WSAU) – Merrill police are looking for the owner of a dog that bit a 19-year-old yesterday morning so the victim doesn't have to go through painful rabies shots.

The 19-year-old was riding a bike on the east side of Merrill Memorial Cemetery about 11 a.m. yesterday when the bite happened.

The dog had the build of a pit bull but the face of a Chihuahua. It's about knee high and gold in color with short hair. The animal was on a retractable leash and had a red or orange collar with tags.

If you have any information, you should call police at 715-536-8311.
