Pawn America rezoning up for vote tonight

SCHOFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) – Schofield’s City Council will decide tonight whether to grant a rezoning request so the man who owns the Pawn America property can expand.

The city’s plan commission approved the request last week despite objections from neighbors who say the business causes unwanted foot traffic in their neighborhood.

As conditions of the rezoning, the business must fence off its parking lot and ban access to its parking lot from Summer Street to the south.

The eight-member Council will vote on the request at 7 p.m.
